# Aiden Tabrizi

I’m a software developer, product engineer, and college student at UC Berkeley studying Electrical Engineering & Computer Science. I like building features end-to-end, shaping design, features, and code to make software people love. I've worked in iOS, mobile, developer tools, education, research in AI/ML, and hardware in autonomous vehicles.

## What I’m doing now

I work part-time as a software engineering intern at UniShack, where I’ve worked on a React Native housing search app across 11 campuses and roommate matching based on lifestyle preferences.

I’m also an electrical engineering intern at ChipMango. My work there includes designing and simulating logic in Verilog and learning the RTL-to-GDSII flow through floorplanning, timing analysis, and routing.

I expect to graduate from UC Berkeley in 2028 with a B.S. in Electrical Engineering and Computer Sciences.

## Work I’m proud of

- At UC San Diego’s ACES Lab, I worked on dynamic machine-learning optimization. I co-filed a U.S. patent, co-authored a paper, built an open-source PyTorch package for live hyperparameter tuning, and helped run an 18-person controlled study of the package.
- I built AssistAI with a team for HackCC 2025. It was a course-planning platform for transfer students and won first place overall.
- I built Bluehax, a Discord bot and job-processing system used by more than 3,500 people to manage and repair Nintendo 3DS consoles.
- I developed an iOS app for the Persian Cultural Center that reached more than 300 active users and supported event registration and donations.
- I helped lead MesaFSD, a student team that built a self-driving go-kart and placed in the top five nationally at the Autonomous Karting Series.

## Community

I built a Berkeley transfer community that grew to about 5,000 Discord members. It also included a website and social accounts, a moderator team, events, and collaboration with Berkeley’s transfer center. I started it because finding clear information and other transfer students was harder than it should have been.

I built a Discord community of 23,000 members centered around the game Overwatch 2.

## Technical interests

My work has covered full-stack web development, iOS and React Native apps, machine learning, developer tools, networking, and digital hardware. I most often use Python, TypeScript, JavaScript, Swift, C/C++, and SQL.
